Sprinter’s king is a prosthetic foot for running.
It's the best for agonistic atheletes because it has the highest performance.
It's good also for the beginners or for people jogging because it allow them to run with the lowest effort, maximizing push, not overloading on the hip.
It's less tiring then you think! All disabled people can begin to run again as with healthy limbs, doing sport is a right.
In this last year we support 7 new atheletes and some of them before were sure they should have not been running again.
Engineering this foot we had the following aims:
- to eliminate the negative backward force component (FX) during the weight loading
- to reach the fully functional of an healthy limb. The natural muscles and tendons system (gastrocnemius-soleus muscles and Achille tendon) gives just as 90% limb elasticity.
- to reach the maximum peak after Mid-stance, just to allow user to exploit the elatic force given by the foot
- to reach more propulsive force advancing than vertical force
