Founded in 2012 by Wright Medical Technology, Inc., an orthopedic medical device company, the Total Ankle Institute (TAI) is the first institute dedicated to the total ankle market and total ankle replacement. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, TAI’s goal is to be the number one source patients and surgeons go to for the latest information and education in total ankle replacement.
Currently there are 5,000 total ankle replacements done in the US. TAI hopes to create a community that informs both the surgeon and patient on total ankle replacement.
